Photoshop Certification Update – What Teachers Need to Know Right Now

Why This Update Exists
As part of BrainBuffet’s commitment to keeping certification pathways clear and up to date, the Photoshop 2025 Course includes expanded practice, reinforcement activities, and review resources designed to support student success across the certification exam.

What Should You Do Based on Your Testing Timeline?
If your students have already completed the Photoshop 2025 Course and you plan to test them soon, we recommend the following:
Have students:
👉 Complete the updated worksheets (Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6)
👉 Retake the updated quizzes (new questions added)
These work well as extra practice or a final review assignment before testing
👉 Take the recently added Module 8 + Final Quiz (more info below)
👉 Take the GMetrix practice exam to experience the real in-app testing environment
If you don’t yet have access to GMetrix, please contact your Certiport Territory Manager
👉 Have students watch the newly added videos below to reinforce key skills:

Final Exam Preparation

Before attempting the certification exam, have students complete the New review-focused module designed to help students consolidate skills before testing
Take the Exam Quiz Review
Before attempting the certification exam, have students complete the New Exam Quiz Review:
[New] Timed Quiz on the BrainBuffet Platform:
– After completing the Module 8 assessment at the end of the course, you’ll find a timed quiz in the menu titled Adobe Photoshop Review.
– A 50-minute time limit, similar to the real certification exam.
– Self-grading.
👉 In the same tab, you’ll also find flashcards with a vocabulary list covered throughout the course. Flashcards are a great way to reinforce key terms and concepts because they encourage active recall, help students retain information longer, and make reviewing more interactive and efficient.
This review is designed to help students identify last-minute gaps in their knowledge and build confidence before the exam.

An optional PDF version of the review quiz is available for teachers who prefer to administer or review the quiz in a printable format.

📘 If You Prefer to Test on the 2023 or 2024 Exam, and you went through the 2025 course
Good news — our Photoshop 2025 Course aligns with both the 2023 and 2024 certification exams ✅
To fully prepare students for those versions, we recommend adding a few targeted videos from our Photoshop 2023 Course, as those exams include a small number of objectives not covered in the 2025 curriculum.
