Our 2025 Adobe Photoshop course is launching alongside Certiport’s brand-new certification exam — and that means exciting changes to our courses are underway!
At BrainBuffet, we’re all about helping students succeed — both in earning their certifications and launching their creative careers.
Students are already diving in, creating awesome projects, and feeling inspired about the possibilities ahead. We’re now in close contact with schools and educators, gathering feedback and insights that help us keep our materials current and effective for today’s learners.
With Certiport’s latest release, we’re anticipating a shift toward more advanced, technical knowledge in Photoshop at a higher complexity and competency than in previous exams. This evolution likely reflects what employers are looking for in today’s entry-level creative professionals.
Note: Our Photoshop 2025 Course also aligns with the 2023 and 2024 exams!

🚧 What has already been updated
We’ve already rolled out updates across our course to better support student success. These include:
- Modules 1, 2 and 3 Worksheets (and Answer Keys): Additional in-depth exercises and guided practice.
- Modules 2, 3, 4 and 6 Quizzes: Add-ons focused on key domains and trending topics.
> Have your students check out the new Worksheets (Modules 1, 2 and 3) for extra practice on essential concepts.
> Encourage them to revisit the updated Quizzes (Modules 2, 3, 4 and 6) to reinforce key topics.
And we’re not stopping there — new resources are on the way!

💻 For Schools Testing Soon
If your students are planning to take the new Photoshop certification exam in the next 30 days, we recommend:
✅ Have them take the Gmetrix practice exam to experience the real in-app testing environment.
✅ Encourage them to go back to the updated quizzes for extra practice on key topics.
✅ Review the key domains together to help them feel confident and prepared for the new exam.
✅ Your students will already gain a strong foundation from our current course. The next step is to guide them toward mastering the deeper, skill-focused areas highlighted in this year’s certification.Â

🆕 2023 or 2024 Photoshop certification exam
Following up on our recent BrainBuffet update, we’ve received a few questions from teachers interested in having their students test earlier in Photoshop and whether they should have their students take the 2023 or 2024 Photoshop certification exam instead.
Our education team has confirmed that the current Photoshop 2025 Course aligns with the 2023 and 2024 ✅
If you decide to have your students take the ACP 2023 and 2024 exam, we suggest having them complete a few extra steps first to ensure they feel fully prepared:
- Watch the following videos from our Photoshop 2023 Course to strengthen exam readiness:
> Project 1: Watch all videos.
> Other projects: Watch these videos: 2.08, 4.01, 4.02, 5.13, 7.01, 7.02, and 7.10.
These lessons reinforce a few Objective Domains covered in the 2023 Photoshop exams that we do not cover in the 2025 Course.
- Take the GMetrix practice test to review key concepts and build confidence before the official exam.
