Recording trigger animation separately makes the whole animation process much easier. All right, so now that we've got our audio take and we've got our base take, it's time for the third take for this little animation, and that's going to be any triggers. So the first thing you'll want to do on that third pass or take is turn off the properties or behaviors that you don't want to use. So I'm going to turn off recording phase, right? So I'm going to not have that armed, and I'm going to turn on the triggers. And again, this just makes recording performances a lot easier. Rather than trying to hit buttons at exactly the right time while you're talking, while you're moving to make all this work. Now, I'm going to need to know what triggers I've got available. So with Rob here, I can hit a to blink and s for a little bit of a different eyebrow shape. Okay, so let's say I wanted to blink twice, then talk, and then do his little eyebrow thing. Okay? Now, before I hit record, you should know that there's no pressure to get it just right, because as soon as you get the content in, we can read time, all of that. So here we go. I'm going to hit record, hit a people, and then s and hit record again to turn it off. Okay? And you can see that down here under triggers, I've got my blink and my eyebrows. And if I zoom in, you can see I've got that little bit of a track that shows me where he's going to blink, and maybe I want him to blink twice. So let's go ahead and shorten that one and move it up the front. And if I want another blank, I can just right click and blink. So he's got two blinks, and then he talks. Now I want him to do the eyebrow thing a little bit closer to when he's done talking there. All right? And then, who knows? Maybe he blanks one more time. Okay, so now we've got hey, there, people, a lot more sort of life and energy. We can retime different triggers, and it's pretty much ready to go. So those three passes, audio, then face, then triggers will, in the end, save you a lot of time because you can focus in on those three different domains separately.
